Birthday Cake

Rich vanilla is delicately folded into moist white cake batter with brown-baked accords and finishing touches of heavenly buttercream frosting with celebratory rainbow sprinkles. This sugary delight can be used in a variety of applications including baked goods and nutrition bars, confections, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as dairy and non-dairy products.

Bake Me A Cake

The origin of celebrating birthdays is credited to the ancient Egyptians. The Egyptians believed that when a pharaoh was crowned, he became a god, and it was his “birth” day. Ancient Greeks added to the tradition by baking a moon-shaped cake with candles in honor of Artemis, goddess of the moon. Germany is recognized for modern day birthdays with the celebration of “Kinderfeste,” which means children’s party. Traditionally, to celebrate a child’s birthday, a cake with lit candles that represented the child’s age plus one was presented to the child in the morning. Later, they would celebrate with a party and eat the cake. The extra candle is believed to represent the “light of life.”
